If you are confused, why not schedule a phone consultation with me in order to discuss your pain and formulate a plan of action that will give you the best possible chance of recovering from that pain and getting you back to the life you once enjoyed. Scheduling is easy! All you do is send or e-mail me a COPY of your latest MRI (or at least the MRI report), pay via the PayPal Options below, and we talk. Typically the first consultation lasts 50-60 minutes and starts by me e-mailing you copies of pertinent images from your MRI--ones that I think are likely to be your problem. I also mark your images in photoshop, so you will really learn just what the problem may be. Here are some recent examples off a patient's MRI I just consulted with: photo 1, photo 2. DETAILS OF SERVICE: Phone consultations have become very popular in these days of managed care, for many HMO doctors simply fail to adequately explaining things to their suffering patients--either they don't have the time or don't understand the complexity of current pain theory. That is, they rush through the appointment without really explaining why the patient has the pain and what the available treatment options are. Even more annoying, they also often fail to show and/or adequately explain the results of the patient's medical testing; i.e., the results of MRI, CT, and EMG/NCV. This is where I come in: I am up-to-date with the latest research on spine-related problems and may have some treatment recommendations that your doctor has never even heard of! After some time with me, you will definitely be able to speak to your doctor on a higher level and make a more informed decision about the management of your pain. And finally, being a chronic pain patient myself -- secondary to a failed discectomy in 2003 -- I offer a rare and unique insight into chronic pain that most doctors have no clue about, for if you haven't lived through the horror of chronic pain, you just don't understand and will never understand! But I do! (Diary) There are two levels of consultation to chose from, which are discussed below: make sure you use the drop-down menu in order to select the level of service you wish to purchase from the PayPal box. TYPICAL PHONE CONSULTATION: ($100.00 for 50-60 minutes) To get started with this level of service, which is what I recommend, the patient sends me a COPY of their recent imaging results (usually just the MRI disk is enough), which can be obtained from the facility where the testing was performed. Once I receive the disk, we schedule our 50-60 minute consultation. During the consultation, it is important to have an internet connection, for I often copy pertinent pictures from your MRI disk and then e-mail you links to those pictures (I put them in a private section of my web site). Then we discuss each picture and you can see with your own eyes just what the problem is (I often will put arrows and other marks on your images in order to help our discussion along, so you don't have to be an expert in order to understand what may be wrong). I also leave these links up indefinitely (at your request) in case you want to review them at a later date or show them to you treating doctor. I charge $100.00 U.S. dollars for our 50 to 60 minute consultation, which can be paid for using the ultra-safe and secure "PayPal' button above. This payment method allows you to securely pay via credit card, bank card, pay-pal account, or funds transfer. Typically, I can get you on my schedule within 48 hours (sometimes even sooner if it's an emergency) and particularly enjoy doing these on Saturday or Sunday. THE MINI PHONE CONSULTATION: ($29.99 of 15-20 minutes) [use the drop-down menu to select the level of service you want.] For those of you who are more economically challenged these days, I now offer a 15-20 minute phone consultation for $29.99 U.S. dollars. If you go this route, you should attempt to educate yourself on the basics of disc anatomy and sciatica / radiculopathy, for 15-20 minutes is not very long and will go quickly--it will save time if you know the basics. However, 15-20 minutes is still plenty of time for me to figure out what your problem may be and formulate a plan of attack. You may still send me a COPY of you latest MRI disk, but the MRI report will also do. I should also be able to send you one picture of the main problem from your MRI for us to discuss (in the full 50-60 minute consult, I typically send you 3-5 pictures to educate and discuss). The procedure for getting this set up is the same as above: Send me a COPY of your MRI disk, pay via Pay-Pale above, and I'll schedule you. I also enjoy writing case assessments--my written opinion of what's wrong with your spine, what caused the problem, and the available treatment options. As with phone consultations, I'm going to need your recent MRI and/or CT images (MRI disk images can be obtained from the MRI facility that performed your scan), EMG/NCV results, and any medical records you would like me to comment on.
