Want to chat about your back and/or neck problems? I'm available for both phone consultations and written case assessments.

Phone Consultations:

Phone consultations, in which I typically spend 30-45 minutes with you on the phone, seem to be quite popular in these days of managed care, for, from my experience, many HMO doctors are not adequately explaining test results, treatment options, proposed medical procedures, etc. to their patients. In fact, many folks I speak with don't even understand what it is their doctors are trying to treat! Why not let me "put into plain english" what your doctor is trying to convey. Furthermore, I am up-to-date with the latest research on spine-related problems and may have some treatment recommendations that your doctor has never even heard of! And finally, being a chronic pain patient myself (secondary to a failed discectomy in 2003), I offer a unique insight that few other doctors possess, for as all of you chronic pain patients can attest, if you haven't lived through the horror of chronic pain, you just don't understand! But I do! (Diary)

If you're interested, I recommend that you send me a disk-copy of your recent MRI, CT, Discography, and/or x-rays, which can be obtained the facility where your testing was performed, for as a teaching aid, I often will capture an image or two, put them in a private section of my website, and then have you look at them while I explain what portions(s) of you disc(s) or facet(s) are damaged. This way, you will truly will understand what is wrong.

Fees and Timing:

Phone consultations typically cost $100 and can be set up by using the secure "PayPal' button above, which allows you to securely pay by credit card, bank card, pay-pal account, and funds transfer. Or, if you prefer, you can contact me at chirogeek@chirogeek.com for other payment options--such as sending me a check or money order. If you have further questions about this service, you may call my office at 408-294-3500 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST.

Once I receive your payment, we can schedule our phone consultation. Typically, I can get you on my schedule within 48 hours (sometimes even sooner if it's an emergency) and particularly enjoy doing these on Saturday or Sunday.

Written Case Assessments:

I also enjoy writing case assessments--my written opinion of what's wrong with your spine and the available treatment options. Simply e-mail me and explain what type of assessment you would like me to do. As with phone consultations, I'm going to need your recent MRI and/or CT images (MRI disk images can be obtained from the MRI facility that performed your scan), EMG/NCV results, and any medical records you would like me to comment on. Some folks have used my well supported opinions for fighting denied SDI claims, VA claims, or even to support their personal injury claims in court. Here are some recent examples:

#1) Typical non-medical-legal report

#2) Support for VA Benefits

#3) Support for SDI Benefits

#4) Support for Chronic Pain Secondary to Supermarket Slip & Fall

Please e-mail me regarding the cost of this service, for prices vary depending on the level of complexity you need in your report.

Consultations / Examinations / Treatment:

If you're in the Bay Area and want to discuss your case in person and/or be examined, feel free to contact my office and set up an appointment. We accept most insurances but do not bill your insurance company. Please remember to bring your test results and MRI films when you come. I'm located in San Jose, California, which is about 40 miles south of San Francisco. Call (408) 294-3500 for more information.

If you want to try my form of Chiropractic treatment, you're more than welcome to set up an appointment. For disc injuries, I used a modified Cox Flexion/Distraction treatment (a hands-on traction of the spine [Leander Table Assisted]), massage, and physical therapy that includes various forms of electric current (Russian Current is my favorite for disc injuries), ultrasound, ice massage, and/or heat/ice therapy).
